King University is seeking a senior-level professional to develop and drive the University’s comprehensive marketing and communications plan. With the help of additional staff, this individual will be responsible for promoting the brand, mission, vision and reputation of the University, and for developing/delivering engaging communications and initiatives that:
• Cultivate student recruitment/retention
• Champion school spirit and pride
• Enhance student, alumni, and community engagement
• Align with efforts to increase philanthropic support and inspire volunteer involvement
• Promote the achievements of students, faculty, staff, and alumni
This position will report to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, and the individual chosen will lead a team of creative associates who collaborate in promoting news and events from departments throughout King’s various schools and institutes.
A minimum of eight years of experience in a marketing or communications position is preferred, including:
• Four years leading marketing and communications initiatives in higher education (work in an agency or non-profit setting also considered)
• Proven experience in the development, implementation and management of master publication calendars for internal and external audiences
• Creative development and implementation of strategic plans as well as tactical initiatives
• A keen understanding of digital and traditional marketing platforms, along with audience segmentation and targeting
• Media and public relations management
A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s degree or equivalent industry experience in marketing/communications preferred. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Some knowledge of Adobe programs preferred. As King is a faith-oriented organization and workplace, candidates must possess and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
