Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversees the planning, development, and execution of digital marketing strategies across the enterprise:
- Team lead for digital marketing team, encompassing SEO, Analytics, Web, and Lead Generation responsibilities
- Works with each account and business marketing team to optimize integrated marketing communications plans for digital marketing
- Develops a comprehensive strategy and implementation roadmap that ensures account marketing goals are supported by the necessary digital marketing functions
- Designs processes and workflows for executing against larger campaign and business goals
- Selects and manages relevant marketing campaign management tools, technologies, and applications in conjunction with account teams
- Actively participates in selection of vendors and/or technology aligned with the digital marketing roadmap and objectives of each account team
Maximizes the effectiveness of multi-channel advertising and marketing campaigns:
- Works with Content Manager and account teams to develop a content marketing strategy that reflects an understanding of key audiences and aligns high-impact content to audience needs, within the brand standards
- Uses multiple data sources (web metrics, user journeys and testing) to deliver the right interaction at the right time in the right channel
- Establishes a set of key metrics that aligns digital marketing objectives with the underlying drivers of the business
Elevates the role digital marketing technologies and data play within marketing and across the enterprise:
- Outlines and communicates a holistic vision that ties effective digital marketing execution to broader marketing and business mandates, such as enhancing customer experience and sales enablement
- Demonstrates the impact of digital marketing activities on engagement, Sales and ROI
- Identifies, hires, and nurtures top digital marketing and advertising talent
- Conducts training for department and enterprise, as needed
Builds relationships, and communicates vision and roadmap
- Build internal and external networks to help achieve objectives
- Extends influence to relevant stakeholders — such as IT, Sales and Marketing — through application of expertise and demonstration of collaborative potential
- Communicates ideas, problems, strategies and results with MarCom, the marketing organization and business leaders across the enterprise
- Support the role digital marketing will play in the enterprise’s digital roadmap, and the organizational and process changes needed to sustain companywide momentum
Skills
Qualifications
- Good understanding of multichannel marketing hubs, ad tech and customer data platforms
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills
- Familiarity with media and performance measurement as well as attribution and media mix modeling
- Strong influence and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated track record in evaluating, selecting, and managing budget for relevant marketing technologies and service providers
- Proven ability to effectively drive people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
- Clear talent for building and developing relationships with non-marketing functions such as sales, research, product, and customer service
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to explain complex digital concepts and technologies to senior business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
Experience:
- 7+ years or more in digital marketing or coordinating multichannel campaigns, preferably involving operational and/or channel leadership in complex organizations requiring influence that extends outside the marketing realm
- 7+ years or more managing a high-performing, cross-functional team (agency/in-house)
- Strategy (agency/in-house) and/or management consulting background desirable in addition to the above, particularly where big-picture thinking is concerned
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or related field, or relevant work experience
- Relevant experience using Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce CRM, Marketo a plus
