Shameika Rhymes is a journalist of all trades. She’s a former television news producer (WJHL, WLOS, Time Warner Cable News) who has written for outlets like Charlotte Magazine, Creative Loafing, ET Online, ESSENCE, EBONY Magazine, the National Museum of African American Music, Shondaland, Soul Train, Vanity Fair, WEtv.com, and her own blog, The Mofochronicles.com. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from East Tennessee State and an M.S. in Sports Commerce & Leisure from University of Memphis. She is an advisory board member for the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and a member of ETSU’s Media/ Communication Executive Advisory Board.
Shameika isn’t limited to behind the camera and a pen, she has also taken a dive into reality television as a cast member on the spinoff of the CMT show, I Want to Look Like a High School Cheerleader Again in 2007. Currently, she is the host of the Suite 929 web series The Date Sheet.
