Join us, Thursday, September 13th at 6:30pm at the International Storytelling Center for a workshop on Cultivating Community through Story with Kiran Singh Sirah, President of the International Storytelling Center. Storytelling is one of the most exciting and effective tools we have to build an understanding within our communities here in the U.S. and around the world, but all too often, this vital tool is overlooked. In this workshop, Kiran will explore the power of human creativity through the arts of storytelling and the notion of a truly multicultural society. Learn all about how the power of Storytelling has enriched lives as an art form and a force for cultivating and strengthening our communities. Participants can expect to come away with techniques and tools that they may use to harness their own stories, as well as empower communities and groups to help tell their stories.
Registration is free for YPTri and AAF-NETN members and $15 for nonmembers.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Tennessee Hills Distillery, JRH Brewing, and Depot Street Brewing will host a cash bar (will also accept credit cards) with specialty cocktails and beer.
YPTri and AAF-NETN members enjoy one free drink on the house. Be sure to register in the ticket link below on EventBrite by September 11th.
Hope to see you there!
